Effective January 15, 2020, Mr. Hawkins was appointed Executive Chairman of Link Industrial Properties, The Blackstone Group's U.S. logistics real estate operating platform. From 2006 to August 2018, Mr. Hawkins was the Chief Executive Officer, President and a member of the Board of Directors of DCT Industrial Trust Inc. (NYSE: DCT), a Denver-based industrial REIT that owned, acquired, operated and developed logistics related properties in high-volume distribution markets in the United States. From August 2018 to January 2020, Mr. Hawkins was a member of the Board of Directors of Prologis, Inc. (NYSE: PLD). From 2002 to 2006, Mr. Hawkins was President and Chief Operating Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of CarrAmerica Realty Corporation (formerly NYSE: CRE, prior to its acquisition by The Blackstone Group). Also at CarrAmerica, he served as Chief Operating Officer from 1998 to 2002 and Managing Director of Asset Management from 1996 to 1998. From 1982 to 1996, Mr. Hawkins held a series of senior executive positions in real estate investment, development, leasing and management with LaSalle Partners, Ltd. (now known as Jones Lang LaSalle, Inc.) and served on LaSalle's Board of Directors. Mr. Hawkins is a trustee of Hamilton College where he received his BA. He has an MBA from the University of Chicago.
